Q : Why are two of them in black and white ?Ī : That is when I reinstalled the software and forgot to check "Use colourful scheme".Ī : The circles represent the areas where the mouse stops. That may be due to how the software tracks mouse movements and how the games interpret them. Strangely enough, it seems to fail to record movements "properly" for some games, such as BF3 where the patterns should roughly match those of COD, the two games being very similar in concept. The only missing game here is Rocket League, because I play it with a controller :). You can see that for FPS games such as COD, the mouse movements are mostly left and right of the center to aim, as in for strategy games such as Civilization VI, the mouse mostly moves over the main menus.

Nonetheless, I very much intend to keep using it daily and update my database. Especially with BF3, where I sometimes have to restart the software up to 20 times until it works correctly. I like the output it produces, and even if my friends keep telling me that it's useless, being a dataholic, I can't stop using it.īeing written in Java (ew), the software crashes quite frequently when switching windows. I now have a dataset of more than 1500 images (and counting) over more than 10 different games.
For several years I've had the habit of using IOGraphica, a free, lightweight Java software to track my mouse movements each time I start gaming (so basically everyday).
